Alfred “Alfy” Ramsey Agarie was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. There he met his beautiful wife, Murine. Alfy and Murine have been happily married for over 40 years. Together they have 4 children; 2 sons and 2 daughters. While living in Jamaica he established his strong work ethic and professional career. In 1981, he started his professional career working at the Kingston Shipping Port Terminal as a Heavy Truck Equipment Mechanic and Field Service Manager. Although they were fortunate, Alfy and his wife wanted to seek better opportunities for their growing family.
In 1985, Alfy came to the developing city of Palm Bay, Florida. Upon his arrival, Alfy immediately began working. With his background knowledge as a Heavy Truck Equipment Mechanic, he started working with several land clearing development and construction companies. As a result of his hard work and dedication, he became a Site Manager in field operations. His responsibilities included but not limited to managing trucks and heavy equipment.
In 1995, He started a small business venture as a sub-contractor providing land clearing and trucking services. In 2001, Alfy and his wife purchased a gas station with an auto repair garage. This family owned and operated business is known to Palm Bay residents as A.R.A 24-Seven Auto Repairs and Services, Inc. In 2003, he expanded his trucking venture to establish Alfy’s Trucking, Inc., family owned and operated. Alfy’s Trucking, Inc. became a leader in the trucking industry of Palm Bay increasing employment from 10 to 40 Palm Bay employees.
Family is of the upmost importance to Alfy. Alfy and his wife has taught their children the importance of a strong foundation. Their four children have established families of their own and all live in the great city of Palm Bay. Alfy and his wife have 13 grandchildren. The Agarie family reside, work, and participate in Palm Bay recreational activities. Alfy is the founder of the West Indian Caribbean Culture and Sports (W.I.C.C.S). This non-profit organization teaches the youth culture and sports. W.I.C.C.S has donated to various youth organizations in Palm Bay.
For the past 10 years Alfy has personally contributed and volunteered at various events in the City of Palm Bay. He has donated fill dirt to the U.S Veteran Housing Project, white sand to the Sandbag Project in the hurricane seasons, and to the Mayor’s Ball to assist with food for the youth program. As a proud resident of Palm Bay, Alfy has served on the Parks and Recreation advisory board, Community Development advisory board, and currently serving on the Code Enforcement board.
When Alfy is not working he likes to spend time with family and friends, cooking and listening to music. He also has a passion for antique cars.
